Pensacola Beach is a small barrier island off the coast of Gulf Breeze, Florida. It is very family friendly, has a number of nice restaurants and is great for a relaxing getaway. I would not go to Pensacola Beach if I am looking to party, unless I am bringing the party with me. I would, however, take a significant other for quiet time alone.

I took my wife and son, and we enjoyed the non-crowded beach, the restaurants, the bike path on which I did my morning runs, and the wild life preserve in Gulf Breeze.

I will take my family back to Pensacola Beach.

Burj Al Arab (Arabic: برج العرب‎‎,Tower of the Arabs) is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has been called "The world's only 7 star Hotel" and is the fourth tallest hotel in the world; however, 39% of its total height is made up of non-occupiable space.[7][8][9] Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The shape of the structure is designed to mimic the sail of a ship. It has a helipad near the roof at a height of 210 m (689 ft) above ground.
Site[edit]
The beachfront area where Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel are located was previously called Chicago Beach. The hotel is located on an island of reclaimed land 280 meters offshore of the beach of the former Chicago Beach Hotel. The locale's name had its origins in the Chicago Bridge & Iron Company which at one time welded giant floating oil storage tanks, known locally as Kazzans on the site.

The old name persisted after the old Hotel was demolished in 1997. Dubai Chicago Beach Hotel remained as the Public Project Name for the construction phase of Burj Al Arab Hotel until Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the new name.

Design and construction
Burj Al Arab was designed by multidisciplinary consultancy Atkins, led by architect Tom Wright, who has since become co-founder of WKK Architects. The design and construction were managed by Canadian engineer Rick Gregory also of WS Atkins. Construction of the Island began in 1994 with over 60 WS Atkins managerial and design staff, and up to 2000 construction workers during peak construction. It was built to resemble the sail of a traditional Arabian vessel called a dhow. Two "wings" spread in a V to form a vast "mast", while the space between them is enclosed in a massive atrium. The architect Tom Wright[12] said "The client wanted a building that would become an iconic or symbolic statement for Dubai; this is very similar to Sydney with its Opera House, London with Big Ben, or Paris with the Eiffel Tower. It needed to be a building that would become synonymous with the name of the country."
Atkins. Fletcher Construction from New Zealand was the lead joint venture partner in the initial stages of pre-construction and construction.[14] The hotel was built by South African construction contractor Murray & Roberts and Al Habtoor Engineering

The Apeiron Island Hotel (also known as “The Rollmop”, “The Pringle”, and “The Funnel”) is a design concept seven star hotel that will be located 300 meters off the coast of Beirut, Lebanon. The meaning Apeiron is derived from the energy sustainability of the hotel. Developers are interested in this US $350 million (£173 million) project, though construction dates have not been set. If constructed, this will be the second (self-awarded) seven star hotel built in the world, other than the Burj Al Arab (located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ). Prices of individual suites are not decided; however, the estimated prices will be in the proximity of that of Burj Al Arab’s (starting around US $28,000 a night).
Name Derivation and Implications[edit]
The cosmological theory of Anaximander gave this hotel the name “Apeiron”. Anaximander believed that the beginning of time is infinite, and materials are subjected to self-renewal[2]. As it turned out, the hotel’s energy sustainability concurs with this theory. This building’s energy efficiency is very self-sustainable; there are internal louvers on the infrastructure to protect the inside from direct sun light. In addition to that, these louvers contain solar cells to absorbed the sun light and generate energy. It is estimated that the hotel can generate approximately 70% of its own energy. [3] This emphasizes the Hotel’s name, "Apeiron", meaning infinity.

Design
Apeiron, designed by Sybarite Architects [4], will have a dimension of 185 meters high, and a floor area of 200,000 m2 [5]. This hotel will contain 28 floors above sea level, and a total of 438 luxury suites. Other statistical details of the Apeiron might include [6]:

Suite size ranging from 180 m² to 750 m²
Wind load factor of 350 km per hour

Features 
The Apeiron Hotel will have an underwater restaurant with views into a Crescent lagoon. The lagoon has an underwater landscape with seawater plant life and colorful corals designed to entertain guest during dinning [7]. Visitors can also partake in the art gallery, cinema, conference facilities, and a shopping mall. A Health Club and Spa will be located On Level 00 and -01 (under the beach); these facilities contain private saunas, steam, and massage rooms. Also, the hotel will have different temperature-controlled fresh water swimming pools. Ascending to the 11th floor, there will be an outdoor garden with views down the atrium of the building and unobstructed view of the open sea.

Butterfly Jungle
The top two floors will include a tropical species butterfly jungle (200 m above sea level). Control temperature and adjusted humidity along with a vivid backdrop of the Arabian Gulf will all be part of the design.

Arrival
There are only two ways to approach this edifice: helicopters and yachts [8]. Yachts can moor at the core of the hotel at floor 0, or they can be parked directly beneath the hotel’s atrium. Helicopters are accommodated by the helipad on the 9th floor with direct bridge access to the building (55 meters above sea level).
